UN publishes report detailing ‘critical situation’ of indigenous people

Amazon Indians
‘The State of the World’s Indigenous Peoples’ asserts that ‘many of these communities are now on the brink of what some describe as genocide’, and highlights as particularly threatening the construction of dams and the clearing of forests for logging, mines and soy plantations.

  1. I am so glad you followed my blog... not only grateful for the follow, but because it lead me to your blog. Thank you for what you are doing-- I think the more people see the *real effects* of consumer generated actions, the more likely for positive changes to actually be implemented. Keep up the education-- I've enjoyed learning more while browsing through your past & current posts.

  2. ^ Thank you for the kind words, Kenna. I really appreciate it.

I am very passionate about saving and protecting the Amazon rainforest. It's one of the most bio-diverse ecosystems in the entire world. There are so many different species living there including people, animals and many different kind of plants and trees. it's truly sad to see humans destroying it mostly for food production and cattle grazing. Ugh!

Btw, I found your blog yesterday and I think it's very nice. I will certainly visit it again.
