Brazil: Deforestation sees biggest drop in 20 yrs

Deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon dropped nearly 46 percent from August 2008 to July 2009 - the biggest annual decline in two decades, the government said Thursday.

  1. I am afraid LULA is lying. Nobody in Brasil in his govern really knows about the environment. The only politician that was involved with the rainforest now is gone.
    The three of them in the photo know nothing about the rain forest. Actually, they donot care it is all propaganda for the next year to have the woman who came from the same country side LULA born to be the new president. We brazilian shall mourn .
    GOD BLESS US and protects the environment because those guys will not .
